Re: So then... how does one play CC in 2015?

Stwa wrote:This past summer, I purchased a Dell Desktop (Win 7 Pro) that creates no noise or heat and didn't cost squat. It doesn't do intense graphics stuff, but it works well with CCMT ,WAR, and TOAW III. Smooth as silk.

It would have to do CCMT, but anything else game wise?

Re: Total CC noobie with an easy question

Yep :D Plenty of mods for about any theatre of WW2 I can think of, except for maybe the Aleutian Islands..

Like Anthony posted above. CC3 and CC5 both have PLENTY of mods covering the Eastern front, Europe, Desert warfare, even a Pacific mod.

Re: What To Change / Improve

Myself? thinking more along the lines, of what exactly type of product is it going to be Shaun. Ideas are great, but a hint on just what the engine, or visuals "might" be headed towards.

Re: Colorised [Colourised] Photos From WWII - Added To Galle

Think my favorite so far looked through is of that Elefant in Italy that is stuck in the mud in background, with a tow cable hooked to it, being pulled out and a small group of Fallchirmjaeger smiling at camera in the forefront walking by. The fav's to me, are the non combat pics, troops relaxing, o...

Re: Notes About - The Tactical Art of Combat [Art of Combat]

For that reason I second what Aetius says, I do hope the theme is not that of the western front during 1943-44. I feel that particular area of conflict has been done over a lot in books/games/movies, which I fear will make it harder for a game to carve out a strong identity for itself. Not saying i...

Re: What To Change / Improve

Great ideas. I would like to see building destroying, too. Of course, Engineer team concept needs a touch. They could have an option in the menu: "blow up" maybe? and for mine clearing "clear the area" special to these teams. Besides, buildings would be flammable, I mean if you ...

Re: What is/was your Favourite CC - Why? What did it do well

With you on some of the CC5 mods. Have had countless hours of fun with Pzrjager's Stalingrad trilogy and all those beautiful maps he made especially for them. His leaving the community was a terrible loss towards modding the series of games. It's the series always go back to when am bored and ready ...

Re: What is/was your Favourite CC - Why? What did it do well

It truly was grand playing CC2 H2H back in the early days Kanov, when there was no CC3 even on the old MS Zone days. Sometimes there would be 50+ people there just waiting for a game. US_Brake posted a pic over at CCS several months back of the Zone lobby. Think it juuust might have been the most fr...

Re: What is/was your Favourite CC - Why? What did it do well

2 years ago I would have said WAR. Maps being the best part of it, larger scale than CC4 and beautiful. Maybe they have multiple errors.. Not coded right.. SOME (not me) constantly beat others up for that. I just gripe about shooting through buildings and pathing problems.. Like can't cross bridges ...

Re: What To Keep - What Works Well?

Resupply they kind of burned some of us on with PG1 and aircraft ya know? You would leave your fighter(s) over enemy territory a tad too long.. Forget the old buzzard was there.. Then wonder what happened to the marker, cause it had ran out of fuel and crashed? If there was/is a way to better implem...

Re: What To Keep - What Works Well?

Well everything can be improved, there's no doubt about it. The fundamentals of CC that I think could stay that way but would like to see improved anyways are: -Soldier psychological model -Hit chances, randomness -Scavenging Vehicles going over bridges (any) Walls not being short through, like a t...
