Strat Edit Question

Postby CSO_Sbufkle » Wed Jun 01, 2005 3:08 am

Used the strat edit program.. going well.. BUT

The graphics that are putput that Im supposed to import into screengadget..

The arrows.. cool.. they look good..

The strat map area.. looks good as well.. they are dark with the outlines of the shape of that area.

HOWEVER..

the DESTARTMAP images.. they shoudl eb one germa.. one allied & one both.. all I have is three black images.. they ARE the correct shapes.. but the middles show SQUAT!

Now.. I suppose I could do these by hand... each area & make three graphics for each...

OR

Is there simply soemthing I did wrong?

I did have the strat map laid out well.. with features on it.. the program read my sections easuily & automatically allocated connecting areas with no issues..

Sounds like there is a problem with your bothDebrief.tga, geDebrief.tga, and usDebrief.tga files somewhere.

Sounds like old rhetoric after all these years, but make sure:

1. each of the Debrief images has a different color, so you can discern each on the debrief screen.

2. make sure each image is the correct size

3. make sure each image has been saved as a 16-bit tga

I've never seen the all black images output for the debrief map areas when I've used this tool...I made 4 or 5 different Stratmaps for the Race to Bastogne mod, and it all seemed to work fine.

Good luck

Hate to ask you this.. but if I sent you the files.. could you see whats wrong?

They ARE 16 bit TGAs. (I have made a map or two in my time! ;) )

The three screens ARE different colours.

All three screens & the individual sections are carbon copies size wise..

Ill send you a Christmas card in graditude!

Zip up all nine images that the StratEdit programs uses, and I'll run look through them, and then it through and see what I get for output
