When you install CC3 you input a player name. That name is used not only for multiplayer but also is the name of the commander of the first command team. Thus you are on the battlefield and can earn medals.

You can never be "killed", only incapitated, causing you to come back wounded during the next battle.

Man, I realy hate the 5 minute post editing time limit.

By the time the page loads its too late!!!!

Am sure servers are slowing down dialup connections to force the plebs onto braodband.
For some reason the attachments did not seem to upload.
The 1st 3 screenshots from my previous post I can see.
Can you guys see them??
Maybe only I can see them because the they are saved on this page on my PC

But the last 2 screenshots dont show up at all.

Furthermore, there are no thumbnail attachments at the bottom of the post. Nor do they appear in the "Attachments" section of my User CP

So I shall repost the entire post again here:

Well I suppose I should complete this thread as the campaign was finished long ago. I just haven't been motivated to do so.

The 16th operation is the "Balaton Offensive", which, historically, drove the Germans out of western Hungary and finished in Austria.

Having a strong force (King Tigers etc) I managed to stop the offensive on the 1st map trucing to avoid the AI from fleeing.

This is my Kommand Panther lurking in the hungarian woods, I look pretty tough with 2 King Tigers backing me up
Image
Btw, I lost that panther during the OP.

The lone King Tiger here destroyed 5 tanks and a gun by itself.
Image
The SU85 near him was destroyed by infantry who were themsevles wiped out.

I was resting at least half my force most days as that was sufficient to hold the AI.

If I had too great a force strength, the AI would likely flee and end the OP before I could milk them of armor.

This operation netted a futher 39 tank Kills and left the Campaign stats looking like this:

Image

So there you have it! 555 tank kills in one campaign.

Makes me think that 600 is possible. I am not going to go there.

Hmmm, 638 prisoners is also my best haul. 542 prisoners was my previous best, but in a Campaign that was only 10 OPs, and better still, it was H2H!!!

Noticing how close I was to getting 100 kills, I made it a major goal for the last Operation to crack the 100 kills and did it easy.

It was unusual the only medal I recieved apart from wounded badges, was the Knights Cross, nothing else
