Well, you didn't get your wish, now did you? The Giants as Superbowl champs! Who'd a thunk it?

The Giant defense did indeed have the Pat's offense in check and the Giant offense had just enough to challage them on points. A few teams this year almost did the same, but the Patriots manage to ekk out a win at the last moment. Same thing almost happened tonight, but it wasn't in the cards for the so called "greatest football team in history".

They ain't the greatest anymore, not after screwing the pooch in the Big One.

I don't really like the NY Giants at all, but I do appreciate their win that put a sock in the mouths of all those pundits saying that the 2007 Patriots were the best football team ever. They did win 18 regular and post season games, but they flopped on the silver ring bowl game. Not so perfect now, are they?

I agree the Patriots are not the best team ever.
They had to win the SuperBowl to be considered the best.

What's your take on the new 'Skins coach, pfc.michael? Been a lot of hubbub in the regional press.

I like to remember Zorn as a great QB for the Seahawks for a few seasons, though he had to be taught a couple of lessons on how to be a team captain. He and Steve Largent, a very good back in those days, started preaching to the team, so the offensive line allowed a few punishing sacks to bring him back to reality.

I don't know what to think of Zorn yet.
He seems real decent and looks to be real excited about being a head coach. As you know these days you have to take a wait and see approach/ attitude with anything or anyone in the NFL.
Even if we had Bill Bilicheck as our coach this year my response would be the same.

Press seems to keep wanting to focus on his unusual mini camp ideas like throwing blocking pads at the QB's when their passing. And what he did with Matt Hasseback.
And ofcourse the press keeps mentioning/comparing his move up to the likes of Herm Edwards (who I don't like) and Andy Reid (who I like but will never win the big one with Donavon McNabb)
And how he didn't get to pick his own coaching staff.

I don't like the age of our O and D line,(kinda old) and its more important than ever that Jason Campbell to step up and prove that he is or can be a top NFL QB.

I'm thinking realistically the Redskins go .500 BUT am hoping and praying cinderella super bowl story.

Anyone see the enshrinement last night?

How about that ovation Art Monk got?It went for something like 3 minutes.
How about all those REDSKINS fans there, that was SWEET, Best fans in the NFL by far

I thought Emmitt Thomas gave the best speach even though he went in as a Chief we think of him as a Redskin assistant coach from '86-'94 He coached both Art Monk and Darrell Green.and won 2 rings with the Skins.

A very proud day for Redskin fans.
Now lets hope they dont get stupid and try to run up the score in the HoF game tonight.

Good showing for the Skins.
Nice to see the rookies play well, you never know when you might need them.

I didnt however like how Quinn Gray looked to be able to pass at will.He looks to be a good back up for peyton

Well it's one week till the opening season.

Whats your predictions for your team?

For the Redskins i'm going .500 maybe less but I hope not.

Damm team looks like it still cant score any points.

I know their arent many of us here who participate in this thread but lets here it.

if the big players stay healthy, particularly Manning, the Colts will win their division and go on.....
the chances of a Giants repeat are slim to none

Harrison's injury was a big reason for their playoff loss last year - his attempted comeback in the playoff game and his uncustomary bumbling was a game/momentum changer - IMHO it is not so much that the Colts don't have depth as much as a few players are such a large part of the gameplan
