Can we perhaps have a quick guide on how to play the games on Windows 7 ect?

Not sure I understand Sbufkle. Install location? Posted that on another thread a few days back. If that's what was looking for, it's the same (generally) for CC3-5. just have to change the main folder (CC5 is SSI, CC3 is Microsoft).

CC5 Install location is listed below as example:

C:/Program Files/SSI/Close Combat Invasion Normandy

Remember that 10 years ago,, I can say I had installed CC in pcs 50 times.. and done Config Manager a ton.

I loaded CC3 earlier in week.. fixed screen resolution in game but the main GUI screens were still small. Also had problem where when I tired to Uninstall a mod in config manager, the mod I had installed WOULDNT uninstall

How did you find or bring up CC? Every time I looked I could not find it and when I did under gamespy/zone the links were dead.

Does CC still have a page on Cases? or My League? Or is this info it now?

Many of those names have not thought of for so long.. Fizwhopper being one. Trout, who it seemed would change from clan to clan. KG_Agcent, leader of our group and Cloghaun, my friend who I played in multiple enduring campaigns, in CC3, 4 and 5. AGC didn't play much CC, but when he did? He won, same in Combat mission, a master tactician. Cloghaun was my favorite opponent in combat mission. He's suffering from poor health now also and has retired from all gaming.

I remember getting our first CC game about 1999, 2000 time frame. I told my youngest son, "It is probably going to be really complicated." I based this by reading the box art for the game. Well, it was not complicated at all. And, 16 years later I am still playing. However, I think the CC4/CC5 style campaign game is lame, so I mostly use a WW2 mod for CCMT.
