Senior Drill wrote:Yes. Searching for the string FC FD FB 00 will find you the start point. You will only need to do the first 28 color style sets, or 1044 bytes as winter uniforms camo doesn't work in CC5.

Thanks, Drill!
I'll give it shot and will report back ASAP :)

OK...found them!
If anyone wants to play around with the CC5 demo uniform colors here's the offset data: 1185920-1186963

I guess I wasn't too clear, but so that everyone understands: What you will need to do is edit the uniform colors on a copy of the stock CC5.exe with the 5.01 patch, then copy and paste that portion to the Demo CC5.exe in a hex editor.

The offsets are different and the Soldier Color Editor is hardcoded to look at the specific game's patched offsets, so it will always give strange results for the stock without patch and demo .exe's.

TheBlood! pulled the uni colors out of the .exe and put them in a .txt file for CCMT, which I'm sure will continue with CC6 and beyond or be something completely different but easily accessable and moddable, he said, keeping his fingers crossed for luck.

Is there any simple download of new colored (or additional) colored uniforms?

I would just like to have 2 or 3 U.S. Fireteams with somewhat unique looking uniforms as compared to my larger force.....

Just curious? Thanks!

If you want to change uniform colours *and* install a small soldier mod, which order do you do it in?

Do you install the mod and then change the colours; or is it the other way around?

Mod first...then change the colours

The thing is...after you install the small soldiers mod...you can't really see the uniform details. Unless you're using a 42" LCD ;)
