Default PPSH F N A

Anyone ever shoot one before? Nabbed 1 on a raid here in Iraq- museum quality- very mint with 2 drums of ammo. Could not resist so took it out and fired at targets out to 200m. What an awsome weapon- is a bit heavy by SMG standards but with no recoil and a cyclic rate that is outa this world, was devastating on steel- man sized targets. The 2 Sterling SMG's we confiscated also were the cats meow to shoot, but the PPSH just kinda stole the show for that day.

I was in Wal-Mart picking up some bulbs for the flower garden when I noticed a PPSH FNA by the express aisle. I have to admit I just about bought one on an impulse, but decided against it.

No, no PPSh, but Suomi M/31 yes, Shpagin's gun is a close relative. PPSh is better than m/31 recoilwise with it's 7,62x25mm cartridge (9,00x19mm in Suomi), cyclic rate is good indeed. Large drum magazines with 71 rounds help to utilize it. Imagine some 50 Red Army Heroes storming Your trenches with PPSh's....

I've played with one over in Pirbright, but only briefly, and never got to fire it.

I've just gotten word that a semi-auto sten has been approved by the Canadian Firearms Center, so i'm leaning towards building one of them. There's a company in the US that sells semi-auto PPSH's.
