I
could have simply added building interiors with the roof &
shadow objects. However I feel I will teach you a little something
if I do this with you from scratch. These aren't"HIGH END"
interiors as some of my maps, just a little basics. I will make
a better interior guide as a follow up for an 'intermediate'
user.
First
of all! Go to player palet & select 'Building1'

Right
click mouse, choose duplicate.

You
will get this:

Rename
the new layer "Building 1 Floor"
Duplicate
Building 1 AGAIN, name this new layer 'shadow'.
Make
sure the two new layers are on top of original 'building1' layer.

Make
sure your on the shadow layer.
Select
the 'magic wand' tool in left hand column. Its the 8th one down.

In
the tools option window, make sure tolerance is set to 200,
as shown here:

Hover
your mouse over the shadow layer on the map, then left click.
You'll get the 'scrolling highlight' around the parameter of
the layer.

Using
the paint bucket tool in left column (Same tool you used for
the base texture of this map) dump sold black into that highlighted
area. (You leaned how to select black in the styles window when
you did the hills shadow)

Its
black! Now set layer transparency to 35% in layer palet window.
This shot shows the effect.

Choose
the 'Building 1 floor' layer.
Using
the magic wand & the paint bucket, as you just did for shadow
layer, dump in the 'sand1' texture. It will look like this:

Now
choose again the magic wand, hover over the building1 image
& right click, the highlight will disappear.

Add
another layer, over these two you just worked on & name
it 'Building1 Wall'. Using wand tool & paint bucket, fill
it in with 'dodamsand100'. DONT Choose magic wand tool to get
highlight off. Keep it highlighted! Will look like this:

Along
top menu, select: Selection / Modify / Contract.

This
will pop up:

Type
3 then enter. You'll See this:

Now
hit 'delete key you will see this:

In
magic wand tool, right click to 'unhighlight'.
Select
the 'Building1 Wall' layer.
Select
Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow

This
comes up:

Make
sure settings show as they do in four fields

Voila,
not the greatest interiors, but now you know the basics.
Copy
& the layers you have made & place them in the right
spots for the other buildings, rename them accordingly for each
building.
Make
sure when all the interiors are done that the roof file of each
individual building are all the highest on the hierarchy of
the pallet layer window. That means when you look at all towers
& buildings, you see the roof. this is important for the
next step.

See
above? The tower roofs are on top! Make sure the building roofs
are as well!
